Beautiful is the art from the Tallgrass Prairie.
The Flint Hills and the Konza Prairie, butting up against the Osage Questas to the east, are magnificent in displays of nature's extreme cycles. Periodic starkness brings into high relief elements of presence, entanglement, and life. The Prairie - wildly necklaced about by the rich Flint Hills - is the place for artists...and cameras...and charcoals...and paints...

The Windmills
We have wind here; we have more wind than we need, i suppose--yet, for all the dust it raises and limiting effects on my garden and other inconveniences, i somehow love and admire this force of nature.

Here are two Eyed Hawk-Moths, and below a video of them holding on for dear life in the Kansa Wind. Not overly strong, relatively speaking. Average windy day...
