The Eagle Tree Mary Todd |
One time i watched a beautiful mated pair and their juvenile offspring sit in a relaxed manner for 20 minutes (perhaps watching for rabbits).
I have read that it takes a huge amount of energy for these large raptors to take off flying (more so from the ground i suppose, than from a branch) so i quietly left the scene. I read that so many tourists (up north somewhere) were disturbing eagles by trying to get good photos that the park rangers felt they were contributing to low weight/poor health.
